December 2012 Bejewelled Christmas GlossyBox: Festive Celebrations

Hi again Beauty Addicts. I came home yesterday after a busy day of Xmas shopping to discover my poor Xmas GlossyBox soaked outside in the rain. It withstood what the weather had to offer however and so all is good. This month's box is named 'Festive Celebrations'. The contents are products that may appeal as gifts to give to others or even for yourself. GlossyBox have collaborated with Kryolan to create a limited edition bonus! GlossyBox are also giving away Christmas treats this month in an online advent calendar, Link which is a lovely idea. So here is the box ......

This box came with a fold out leaflet rather than the usual information card

So many stars

Now onto the exciting bit .......

Left To Right:

Sleek MakeUp True Colour Lipstick (Coral Reef 772), £4.99 for 3.5g

Get high impact lips with this vitamin E enriched lipstick in a selection of matte and sheen finishes. Select from 20 fashion forward shades to match your mood, from neon brights to barely there nudes.

Apply straight from the lipstick bullet on to prepped lips or use a lip brush to apply.

As you can see this is a true coral shade. A bit pink, a bit orange. It's a bold shade that still looks pretty. I think this will really make blue and green eyes pop. This feels so creamy and smooth on swatching. I can't wait to try it out. The lipstick casing has an almost rubber texture which I like.

Seche Nail Lacquer (Signature), £9.95 for 14ml

The high-intensity colour makes application onto the nail even easier with one stroke leaving a strong pigmented and long lasting colour.

Start with applying a base coat, such as Seche Base. Apply a single coat of Seche Nail Lacquer to the nail. Finish with a top coat, for best results use Seche Vite.

This is a stunning classic red shade. I am all for one coat nail polish so bring it on. If it's fast drying too then all the better.

Milk_Shake Conditioning Whipped Cream, £14.79 for 200ml

With a gorgeous fragrance of sweet milk, this leave in conditioning foam contains milk, wheat germ and casein proteins to strengthen the hair whilst detangling agents add smoothness, comb-ability and shine.

Shake well and hold the can upside down to dispense. Apply by massaging Conditioning Whipped Cream on clean, towel dried hair and proceed with the desired styling.

While I like the concept behind this I'm not sure that I like the sweet milk scent so I may pass this on to someone else.

Left To Right:

Lemon By Mary Greenwell Eau De Parfum, £90 for 100ml, £60 for 50ml or £30 Purse Spray

Mary Greenwell is one of the worlds most sort after and influential make up artists. This is the second fragrance following the very popular PLUM by Mary Greenwell.

Dream or imagine vast fields of lemon trees, heavy with the zesty fruit, vivid colours of the young green leaf and vibrant yellow. LEMON is sparkling freshness. An intense burst of fabulousness, unique, vivid and born to be cool.

Unlike most citrus fragrances the fresh citrus notes are specially designed to last on the skin. Fresh Citrus Floral with a soft Chypre dry down which gives the fragrance elegance and richness.

LEMON’s fragrance notes are, on the top Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Bergamot and Bitter Orange. The heart is filled with Narcissus Absolute, Clary Sage, Hyacinth.

Simply spray LEMON onto wrists, décolleté, and pulse points.

I remember not being overwhelmed by the scent of the Plum fragrance when I received it in the September 2011 GlossyBox and I have to say yet again I don't love this fragrance. I think it smells like something a much older person would wear. It's has a very powdery aroma that is very floral, but I don't really notice the citrus in it which is suprising seeing as it is named Lemon. I have to say it's just not for me.

Sebamed Anti-Dry Day Defence Cream, £9.99 for 50ml

Sebamed Anti-Dry Day Defence Cream supports and protects the natural barrier function of the skin’s acid mantle. With the pH value of 5.5 of healthy skin. Concentrated rapeseed phtosteroles calm sensitive dry skin to relieve tension and irritation. The rich lipids of avocado oil and its high content of vitamin A+E provide dry skin intensive care. The optimal active ingredient combination replenishes and balances moisture content. This product also calms flare-ups. It has effective defence against additional detrimental impacts. It restores equilibrium for improved elasticity and provides preceptibily smoother and suppler skin. The Vitamin E neutralizes free-radicals. This cream rapidly absorbs into the skin.

After very mild cleansing apply this cream on dry skin to the face, neck and decollete. Massage gently with circling movements for rapid and thorough absorption.

This feels like a nice and easily absorbed cream when I applied it to my hand and as I have very dry skin I am really looking forward to trying this.

GlossyBox Blusher (Glossy Rosewood), Bonus Limited Edition Product

A colour intensive powder blush, velvety feeling with long-lasting colour that flatters all skin tones.

This photo really does not do this blush justice. Kryolan have created an amazing smooth feeling blush that is just so pretty. The shade is a soft pink that is very buidable. This would take you from day to night as extra layers can be added for night time glam. I think this will suit all ages as it's quite a universal shade. It has an English rose feel to it which is why I think it will look fab on lighter skin tones. A lovely GlossyBox bonus :)

So that's all of the products. I am very pleased with this box. There are other products I would have preferred to the Milk_Shake Conditioning Whipped Cream and the Lemon By Mary Greenwell Eau De Parfum, but the other products make up for those.
